Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is one of today's best performing stocks, up 0.72% to $230.00, while the S&P is currently trading 0.3% lower to 1,170 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading 0.33% lower to 10,852.48.... BTW: Happy 9th Birthday to Apple's Mac OS X!.

AAPL breaks resistance level New York, March 24th (TradersHuddle.com) - Shares of Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) closed the trading session at $228.36 just above calculated resistance at $227.73 effectively breaking out, grabbing the attention of momentum traders, which could eventually push the stock to different trading range Apple's stock was trading in a well defined range with support at $190.85 and resistance at $227.73, given that this range was broken traders will be closely monitoring the stock?s price action for clues of direction.
From a technical perspective it can be expected that previous resistance becomes support, as the new range gets defined, however, given that Apple's stock is still near the broken resistance level, traders will be focusing on $227.73 to see if the stock holds the breakout without rolling over.
